Ae Young Seo is a Korean painter based in Hong Kong. Her works focus on the exploration of identity and culture, whether it be her own or of the millions of people living in Hong Kong.

Her work is often inspired by everything from the city. With the emphasis on the colors and textures of Hong Kong, the artist builds up a texture of landscapes that vividly evokes the life of a Korean based in Hong Kong

Seo has also worked with a number of other mediums, including sculptures and photography.
